Block Party Stravaganza

The neighborhood of Greendale throws the best block parties! The block party for this year just currently happened yesterday and it was full of nonstop fun. I showed up an our early, at 4, to assist in anything that needed to be prepared. When the clock struck 5 more people were showing up and the festivities started! A couple of the dads were near the grill, ensuring that enough hotdogs and hamburgers were made for all the participants. Some of the neighborhood moms setting up the tables and preparing some of the side dishes. All of the food smelled amazing! In two connecting front yards, there was three different bouncy houses which is where a vast majority of the children stayed at as they waited for their food. Across from these bounce houses, these was a tatto artist who painted temporary tattoos for all of the participants. The artist said a fan favorite among the girls was a pink flower on their cheek. Finally the food was ready to be served and everyone got in line and was ready to eat. As everyone was grabbing their food, one woman, Amy Goldberg, was writing down the names of those who wanted to participate in the annual kickball game. As the people were eating their food, Amy split everyone up into two teams. After consuming as much food as everyone could, they got on their teams and prepared for the exciting kickball game. It was very close and filled with a lot of fun but only one team came out winning and that was the red team. The only prize they got was getting an ice cream treat before the other team, even though everyone ended up getting a treat eventually.By this time it was dark outside and the amazing neighborhood night ended with beautiful fireworks in the sky. This amazing block party is why Greendale is the best community!
